The Park Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Ohio, is a relatively new park, established in 2000 after being named a National Recreation Area in 1974. The park protects an area of natural beauty in rocks and streams near the urban areas of Cleveland and Akron. Also significant is the remains of the Ohio and Erie Canal built in the 1820s.
